  4.     Well, as the Church Lady would say, "isn't that special?" For
  5. her first national appearance since quitting tournament tennis,
  6. Chris Evert, 34, is this week's host of Saturday Night Live. She
  7. found the offer irresistible: "I'd kick myself if I'd said no. With
  8. tennis I've lived such a rigid life and not taken chances." Cool
  9. on court, she'll stay loose on the show, where nothing's set until
  10. the last minute. Says she: "I don't know what we'll do. Maybe make
  11. fun of early retirement."
